Day Cinco & Seis :)

5/25/12 (Friday)

Today we had school in the morning, which usually we won’t on Friday’s! After school we were going to go on a tour to see the view of the city from the top. You could either take a gondola or hike to the top, but we decided to hike up because it wasn’t very long and a few people took the gondola! I want to go back and do that as well though because the view is probably a lot different and amazing.

Throughout the hike the view just kept getting better and better. And once we got to the top it was literally breathtaking. We took so many photos and hung out at the top for a while. Then we walked over to another part where you could see the ocean port and a bunch of yachts. It was so pretty we all couldn’t stop staring. It is just so unreal being in these places and seeing these amazing views.

After the tour we started walking back and a small group of us ended up getting lost for a while and we ended up in a really sketchy part of town. It was so scary because we could tell it was a bad place to be, but we eventually found the metro and learned our lesson to not venture off like that again, haha.

After dinner we decided to finally go grocery shopping at this market so we could cook some dinner! The groceries here are so different but we decided that pasta would be the easiest and made pasta, salad, and bread! And drank some sangria with it as well, of course. It was good to have a home cooked meal and familiar food!

After dinner we all got ready and decided to go to ICE Barcelona, which is a bar that is -10 degrees inside. It’s really small and you don’t stay in there for long. But they give you a big parka and gloves to wear when you go in and a free drink that comes in a glass made of ice as well! It was such a cool experience.

Then we walked over to Shoko, which we had eaten at before during the day, but it turns into a lounge at night. It was awesome and a few of us girls ended up getting into VIP for free and got a free bottle of champagne that the waitress brought out with a sparkler on top!

It was such a fun night out with everyone! :)

5/26/12 (Saturday) 

Today we woke up and went straight to the beach! We spent most of the day here because the weather was AMAZING. Some of us even fell asleep for a little while. It’s crazy how you can layout so long here because in Texas the heat makes you SO hot. So we just enjoyed the weather and hung out.

After the beach we were all hungry so we went back to the little Italian restaurant that we fell in love with and all shared a few pizzas there. It was delicious.

This night we all just had a chill night and relaxed in the apartment so that we would feel fully rested for the next day’s events!
